Koaia Trail, mapped acre by acre

We mapped 500+ acres of the Koaia Trail with drone LiDAR for Chinook Landscape Architecture and the Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources — bare-earth terrain and contours to guide trail design, plus a tree-canopy assessment documenting current conditions across the site.

Wildfire mitigation for Hawaiian Electric

We built the field-to-dashboard system behind an island-wide vegetation management program for Hawaiian Electric, in partnership with Big Island Tree Service: programmed Survey123 forms on tablets, trained crews capturing tree data as they trim, and LiDAR of high fire-danger corridors — all flowing into dashboards, 3D viewers, and monthly utility reporting.

Why the ʻāhinahina

Endemic to these islands. At home on the high ground.

The silversword in our logo is the ʻāhinahina — Hawaiian for "very gray," for the silver hairs that let it thrive where conditions are hardest, high on Haleakalā and the mountains of Hawaiʻi Island. It grows nowhere else on Earth. It's where our name comes from, and the standard we hold on every map we deliver.
